Bioinformatics Engineer
Sequencing and related analysis
Responsibilities
Develop and deploy robust data processing and analysis pipelines for a variety of NGS protocols and related methods.
Identify and benchmark available tools and develop new algorithms as needed for use in analysis pipelines.
Manage the release and deployment of pipelines in a shared cloud computing infrastructure.
Support a wide variety of research via data analysis, statistical analysis, and experimental design.
Qualifications
PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, or related discipline.
Familiarity with NGS tools and analysis of NGS data.
Fluency in Python, R, Perl, etc., including packages in the scientific computing stack.
Experience with high performance computing, such as Amazon Web Services, and Spark.
Familiarity with best practices in software development, including version control, unit and integration testing, documentation, and deployment.Research Scientist

Responsibilities
Experimental design and execution for high-throughput screens.
Develop novel chemical, physical, and enzymatic workflows to process DNA and RNA for sequencing applications.
Develop nucleic acid extraction and enrichment technology.
Perform high-throughput sequencing using Illumina technology.
Evaluate published and commercially available technologies.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics; individuals with degrees in other related fields will also be considered if the candidate has extensive experience in molecular biology methods.0-3 years industry experience.
